View/Show the JavaScript Console – JavaScript is a programming language in which scripts can be written for macros and plugins in Kate and other programs.View/Switch to Command Line opens up a mini-terminal panel at the bottom of the screen for one-off commands.Tool Views controls the layout of the panels on the screen. The splitter line can be moved with the mouse or with the commands under View/Split View. Kate includes a vertical as well as a horizontal split, so you can see different sections of long documents.
